I’m Brenda.  I’m a wife to Chris, and a mom to two almost grown boys. Raising men from boys does crazy things to a woman’s heart. My other ‘child’ is a goofy Basset Hound named Percy. Nothing says sweet joy to my heart like family time…or guessing correctly a Jelly Belly flavor.

I’m also a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I live near Los Angeles. I am enjoying life the most when sharing it with others over coffee, or wine, or a walk, or shopping, but always with much, much laughter.

When family priorities have allowed me, I’ve loved vocationally serving in Christian Ministry.  Currently, I’m taking a break while I continue my studies as a MDiv student (at Fuller Theological) and as a student of life. {I have a BS in Religion/Psychology with a specialization in Biblical Counseling.}

I love the Word. I’m desperately thankful for grace. I get all kinds of crazy when others start following Jesus, and devoting themselves to being loved by Him, and get desperate for His grace, and His Word starts rattling around in their hearts and spills out obediently in their lives.

I am a reader, a ponderer, and a question asker. I love the truth. It’s not always easy to find, but it’s worth the daily search. I confess, I’m opinionated and scrappy. I hate injustice and love righteousness.

Clarity is my favorite word, second only to faithfulness.

I’m living by faith, clinging to hope, and imperfectly practicing love.

I write about these things here. My writings are a reflection of my growing devotion to Jesus Christ and I hope that by your reading you too will grow more devoted to Him today than you were yesterday.
